Jesse Lewis, former PhD student, recently published a study in the journal Ecosphere that developed contact networks to evaluate the potential for interspecific interactions between bobcats and pumas along an urban gradient.   This approach can be applied widely to diverse systems to better understand space-use patterns in relation to social, landscape, and ecological factors.  For more detail, see the publication in Ecosphere.
